Maintaining the actuator of your sit-stand stool is crucial to ensuring its smooth operation and prolonging its service life. Here are the steps and tips for maintaining a stool actuator:
- Cleaning
Dusting:
Wipe the cylinder body with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove dust.
> Above all, take care not to dust the cylinder rod on a regular basis, as this may dry it out. The cylinder rod requires lubrication.
Use appropriate products:
For more thorough cleaning, use a cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water. Wipe immediately with a dry cloth to avoid excessive moisture which could damage the wood.
- Lubrication
Apply appropriate lubrication (WD-40 type) to ensure smooth movement.
>Apply the lubricant directly to the top of the body (rod inlet) and allow it to penetrate for a few minutes – operate the actuator several times to distribute the lubricant evenly on the rod.
