1. Regular cleaning

Dusting:
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to regularly dust the furniture. Avoid using rough cloths that could scratch the surface.

Cleaning:
For more thorough cleaning, use a cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water. Wipe immediately with a dry cloth to avoid excessive moisture which could damage the wood.

Attention
: Avoid aggressive detergents and chemicals. Choose natural products.

2. Protection

Avoid direct exposure to the sun:
Direct sunlight can discolor oak over time.

Use coasters:
To avoid stains and discoloration caused by heat (hot drinks), use coasters.

Scratch prevention:
Place felt-tip pens under your screens and other desk accessories to prevent scratches on the desk surface.

3. Periodic maintenance

Oil/wax protection Apply special oak oil/wax(https://www.natureetharmonie.fr/huile-cire-speciale-incolore/) once a year to nourish the wood and maintain its shine.

This wax oil is very easy to apply. Apply the oil with a cotton wick following the grain of the wood, allow to penetrate, then wipe off any excess.

4. Repairing minor damage

Removes stains and small scratches:
For stains of water or other liquids (coffee, tea….), wipe immediately with a dry cloth. For stubborn stains and small scratches, lightly sand the affected area with fine sandpaper, then apply oil/wax to restore the finish.

Sanding and varnishing:
