The advantages of a standing desk are numerous: better posture, reduced back and neck pain, improved blood circulation and therefore better oxygenation of the brain, increased energy and productivity, and reduced risk of illnesses linked to a sedentary lifestyle (obesity, diabetes…).

Although a standing desk brings a number of benefits to those who use it, those with specific musculoskeletal health problems should consult a health professional before making any significant changes to their work environment.

The ideal height of your worktop, whether you’re sitting or standing, allows your elbows to form a 90-degree angle as you type. Your eyes should be aligned with the top 1/3 of your monitor to avoid tilting or lifting your head too much. So you’ll agree that, depending on whether you’re sitting or standing, your screen(s) can’t be positioned at the same height as your work surface. And unfortunately, most sit/stand desks on the market, with their single top, don’t allow you to separate the position of the work surface from that of the screen.
We’ve done it!
Once again, there are no good or bad positions, the ideal is to be able to facilitate movement as soon as we feel discomfort ” the best position is the next one …”.

Your height-adjustable desk will get you moving. We recommend starting with 15 to 30 minutes of standing every hour, and gradually increasing this time. A common method is the 20-8-2 rule: 20 minutes sitting, 8 minutes standing, and 2 minutes moving. But as we remind you, there are no good or bad positions: “the best position is the next one…”.

The advantages of a mechanical adjustment system (without an electric motor) for a standing desk are numerous:

  • Reliability and Durability

Mechanical systems tend to be more robust and less likely to fail, as they are not dependent on electrical or electronic components. This can mean longer service life and lower maintenance costs.

  • Quick and easy to use

Our mechanical system, the “Flipsystem”, is a manual lifting mechanism that’s easy to use and highly intuitive. It requires no electrical connection, making it ideal for environments where access to electricity is limited, or for those who prefer to avoid the complexity of motorized systems.
We’ve designed it so that height adjustment of your standing desk is “almost” instantaneous, unlike a motorized system which takes several tens of seconds to move from one position to another.

  • Modular spaces

Our manual sit/stand desks are easier to move around, making it easier to reorganize your workspace. The absence of motors and cables makes these desks more maneuverable and flexible than an electric sit/stand desk.

  • No noise

Mechanical systems are inherently quiet, unlike most motorized systems which can generate noise during height adjustment. This reduces noise pollution for your employees and ensures a calm, relaxing working environment.

  • Electrical compatibility

With no dependence on a power source, our manual sit-stand desks can be used anywhere in the world, without worrying about plug compatibility, power cables or increasingly dense and complex electrical networks.

  • Reduced environmental impact

With the environment in mind, we have developed robust, durable sit-stand desks.
By avoiding the use of motors and other electronic components, our mechanical sit/stand desks have a lower carbon footprint, both in terms of manufacture and use.
